Serving as the basis for the accreditation program, the ICAMRL Standards are an extensive document defining the minimal requirements for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facilities to provide high quality care. Annually, the Standards are reviewed by the ICAMRL Board of Directors and revised as needed. The Standards are used by facilities as both a guideline and the foundation to create and achieve realistic quality care goals.
The Standards must be referenced when completing the ICAMRL Online Accreditation application. Whether applying for first-time accreditation or reaccreditation, the first step toward success is a review of the Standards by every member of the laboratory staff involved in the application process.
