ICAMRL MISSION STATEMENT
The ICAMRL is dedicated to promoting appropriate diagnostic
quality MR in the delivery of health care by providing
a peer review process of laboratory accreditation.
Committed
to balancing the changing needs of both the magnetic resonance
community and the general public, the ICAMRL was created by
uniting hysicians and technologists from the sponsoring organizations,
as well as representatives from the field of radiology to provide
whole body imaging expertise. Collaborating together, this group
formed the ICAMRL Board of Directors and composed the body of
work known as The Standards, an extensive document defining
the minimal requirements for magnetic resonance laboratories
to provide high quality care. Laboratories use The Standards
as both a guideline and the foundation to create and achieve
realistic quality care goals.

Accreditation is offered in the following testing areas:
- Body
[Pelvis, Abdomen, Chest and/or Breast]
- Cardiovascular
- Musculoskeletal
- Neurological
WHAT SETS THE ICAMRL APART?
The ICAMRL is created and directed by a Multi-Specialty Board including Cardiologists, Neurologists, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Radiologists and Technologists.
